Talk to anyone — in your own language
Tolkimogi is a voice translator app for talking with someone in any language. Put your phone between you and the other person: it interprets both of you out loud, like an interpreter at your side.

Sound familiar?
You nod but don’t understand
The other person talks fast. You catch single words and are afraid to miss what matters: a date, an amount, an address.
No interpreter at hand
A live interpreter has to be found, waited for and paid. But you need to talk right now.
An app only swaps words
A regular translator will not explain what a local form means, or ask for you where to get it.
Tolkimogi — like an interpreter at your side
You speak your language, they speak theirs. Each of you hears the other and understands.
Interprets both of you out loud
You hear the other person’s words in full: meaning, tone, names and numbers. Nothing is added.
Asks when something is unclear
If a date or a number was unclear, it asks one short question instead of guessing.
Explains when you ask
Ask what a term or a document means. It answers only you, in your language.
Speaks for you
“Ask where I can get this certificate.” It says it to the other person in their language and waits for the answer.
Helps you say it politely
If you snap, it passes your words on politely but keeps the meaning and every fact.

How the voice translator app works

Choose your language
Then pick your interpreter: Eva or Max. The app recognises the other person’s language from their speech.
Put the phone between you
The other person installs nothing. One phone is enough.
Talk as usual
It interprets both of you out loud. If you confirm, it saves what matters to Notes: a date, an address, a piece of advice.

Questions
When can I try it?
We are opening the test on iPhone and Android in small groups. Join the list and we will write when we can invite you.
Does the other person need the app?
No. One phone between you is enough: it listens to both of you and speaks through the speaker.
Which languages?
You can choose Ukrainian, Russian, English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Arabic or Portuguese as your language. The app itself is in English, Ukrainian, Russian, Dutch and French.
Can the whole family use it?
Yes. An adult opens the account, and the whole family, children included, can talk through the interpreter together with them.
What happens to my conversations?
History is kept encrypted on your phone. By default we do not keep the audio or text of your conversations. Details are in the app privacy policy.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. With the yearly plan you can call your interpreter from your own number over an ordinary phone line. No internet needed.
